What is all of the fuss over Coconut Oil?!?

I saw this photo today and it actually made me chuckle.  Over the past two years or so, Coconut Oil has become a huge trend! Who hasn't heard of coconut oil by now? I've heard of people using it to whiten their teeth, as a baking ingredient, as a coffee creamer,  as an allergy rub... the list goes on, and on, and on!

About two years ago I decided to jump on the coconut oil bandwagon! I first tried to use it as a lotion.  After trying it out for a week or so, I realized that I just couldn't deal with applying it!
